Idris Elba is “DCI John Luther” in the BBC TV television show Luther. He starred in RocknRolla with Gerald Butler and Jeremy Piven, held the role of “Heimdall” alongside Natalie Portman and Anthony Hopkins in Thor, was “Monty” in Tyler Perry’s Daddy’s Little Girls, and appeared in Obsessed and 28 Weeks Later. Elba also starred as "Janek" in Prometheus with Charlize Theron. Elba's television roles include the role of “Charles Miner” alongside Steve Carell in NBC’s The Office and was “Russell ‘Stringer’ Bell” on The Wire. In addition to acting, Elba occasionally DJs and has recorded several EPs.
