Jeff Kaye, Longtime Voice of NFL Films

Kaye narrated NFL FIlms productions for decades after taking over from the late John Facenda.

Jeff Kaye, who narrated NFL Films productions for more than 20 years, died November 16, 2012, in Binghamton, New York. He was 75.

According to news reports, the cause was cancer.

Kaye began his carer in the 1960s, when he worked for Boston radio station WBZ, after which he moved to the Buffalo stations WKBW and WBEN. In the mid-1980s he moved to Philadelphia, where he did voice-overs for WPVI-TV and Philadelphia Phillies broadcasts and narrated television commercials and NFL Films programs, which brought him national recognition.

He retired in 2006.
