North Hollywood, CA, August 22, 2005 – Mischa Barton, Matthew Fox, Debra Messing, William Petersen and Quentin Tarantino have been confirmed as presenters for the 57th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards.  The show will broadcast live from Los Angeles’ historic Shrine Auditorium, Sunday, September 18 (8:00-11:00 p.m. ET Live/PT tape delayed) on the CBS Television Network.

Mischa Barton currently stars as ‘Marissa Cooper’ on the FOX McG-produced series “The OC” which recently earned a Television Critics Association Award nomination for Outstanding New Program of the Year. She has appeared in numerous feature films including “Lawn Dogs,” "Pups," "The Sixth Sense” and “Notting Hill,” and can next be seen in the dark comedy “The OH in Ohio” and the romantic period drama “Decameron.”  Barton began her career in New York Theater and acts as a spokesperson for both Neutrogena and Keds.

Matthew Fox is currently starring as ‘Jack Shephard’ on the Emmy-nominated ABC adventure/drama "Lost," from creator J.J. Abrams.  Fox is best known for starring as ‘Charlie Salinger’ in the Golden Globe winning drama series "Party of Five." He has numerous television credits including a starring role in the critically acclaimed series "Haunted" and the telefilm "Behind the Mask."

Debra Messing received an Emmy Award in 2003 for her role as interior designer ‘Grace Adler’ on NBC’s Emmy Award winning “Will & Grace.” In addition, she earned four Golden Globe nominations, three Emmy nominations and two American Comedy Award nominations. Messing has also appeared in feature films which include “The Wedding Date,” “Along Came Polly,” Hollywood Ending,” “The Mothman Prophecies” and “A Walk in the Clouds.”  She will next be seen in the Curtis Hanson film “Lucky You.”
 
William Petersen currently executive produces and stars as ‘Gil Grissom’ on the CBS crime drama series “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation,” a role for which Petersen received a Golden Globe nomination in 2003.  Petersen has a long list of television credits that include the telefilms “Long Gone,” "The Rat Pack,” “12 Angry Men,” Golden Globe winning “The Kennedys of Massachusetts” and “The Beast.” His feature film credits include “To Live and Die in LA,” “Manhunter,” “Cousins,” “Young Guns II,” “Fear,” “Hard Promises,” which he also produced, and “The Contender.”

Quentin Tarantino is nominated this year for an Emmy in the category of Outstanding Directing For A Drama Series for the season finale, “Grave Danger,” on  “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.” Tarantino has a long list of filmmaking credits including the recent award-winning thrillers “Kill Bill Vol. 1” and “Kill Bill Vol. 2.” He also recently collaborated with Robert Rodriguez as a special guest director on the film “Sin City.”  Tarantino won an Academy Award for Best Screenplay in 1995 for “Pulp Fiction,” which he co-wrote, directed and starred.  The film was nominated for seven Academy Awards including Best Picture and Best Director.  Other film credits include the award-winning “Reservoir Dogs‚” “Jackie Brown‚” “True Romance,” “Natural Born Killers” and one segment from “Four Rooms.” His executive producer credits include “From Dusk Till Dawn,” “Killing Zoe” and the upcoming “Daltry Calhoun.”
