Fox Launching New Reality Channel With Bob Boden at Programming Helm

By Juliana J. Bolden

Gearing up to launch its Fox Reality Channel, Fox has placed Bob Boden in the top programming slot at the new network.

The well-known game format expert will report to Fox Reality CEO/GM David Lyle. Originally scheduled for a first quarter debut, Fox Reality Channel's launch date has been pushed to secure additional distributors.

Boden brings an arsenal of knowledge and production experience to Fox Reality. Formerly with the Game Show Network, he exited his Senior Vice President of Programming role there in 2003 when GSN moved away from studio-based productions to more reality and casino-based games. During his GSN tenure, he was responsible for all network programming, development, acquisitions and original productions. Boden navigated the acquisitions of heavyweight gamers Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?, Love Connection and Hollywood Squares. He developed GSN originals as well, such as Friend or Foe?, Lingo, Russian Roulette, Whammy, Cram and Wintuition.

Prior to GSN, Boden served as a management and production executive for a variety of television studios, networks and production companies, including ABC, CBS, FX, Dick Clark Productions, Mark Goodson Productions and the Fox Family Channel. He also co-created and executive produced Fox's Greed, served as supervising producer of Family Feud, consulted and worked as a producer for several entities throughout his lengthy career.

The respected UCLA graduate helms his own company, TV BOB Productions and is an active member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, where he is a governor of the Daytime Programming peer group.
