Edward J. Greene, CAS - Multiple Award-Winning Mixer, Dies at 82

I'm sad to report that beloved former Sound Governor Ed Greene passed away on August 9.

Over the course of Ed's illustrious career, he amassed, at last count, an astonishing 61 Emmy nominations and 21 wins (ranking 3rd for most nominations, and 2nd for most wins by an individual). His varied credits ran the gamut from The Muppets Go Hollywood to American Idol, including innumerable awards shows and series. Ed was a member of the Television Academy when it formed in its current incarnation in 1977, and served as Governor of the Sound Peer Group from 2013 to 2015.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, friends can donate to their individual charity of choice in the name of Ed.

Please keep Ed's family in your thoughts.
