Raul Davalos was an editor best known for his work on the Fox drama Empire, which he worked on with his wife and fellow editor Cindy Fret.
Davalos also edited episodes of Gilmore Girls (where he and Fret met), Heroes, Bunheads, Emily Owens M.D., The Glades, Reign and Jane the Virgin.
Additionally, Davalos worked on the films Dreamcatcher, Silverado, The Accidental Tourist, White Palace, Benny & Joon, Wyatt Earp, Paulie and The Way.
After attending Loyola University and London Film School, Davalos moved to Los Angeles in the 1980s and worked as an assistant editor under his mentor, Carol Littleton, an Oscar nominee for E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. Together they collaborated on several films directed by Lawrence Kasdan.
Davalos died October 23, 2017, in Burbank, California. He was 62.
