Michael Gleason was a writer and producer who worked on dozens of series and co-created the detective drama Remington Steele, which made a star of Pierce Brosnan.
Gleason began his TV career in the early 1960s with writing credits on such shows as Rawhide, Laramie, The Big Valley and others. His other credits included Peyton Place, Cannon, Marcus Welby, M.D., McCloud, Nash Bridges, Lois & Clark and Charmed.
He received two Emmy Award nominations for his work on McCloud.
In 2013, he published the crime novel Working Dirty.
Gleason died on October 21, 2016. He was 78.
