Michael Chiarello was an American celebrity chef who was known for Italian-influenced California cuisine.
In 2000, Chiarello began working in food television on PBS' Season by Season. He hosted two more series for PBS, Michael Chiarello's Napa and Michael Chiarello's Napa: Casual Cooking. He moved onto host the Food Network show Easy Entertaining in 2003. In 2009, Chiarello was a contestant on Top Chef Masters. He has also been featured on Food Network's Next Iron Chef, Lifetime's Supermarket Superstar, and Chopped. In 2013, he was named Esquire magazine's Chef of the Year.

Chiarello opened his first restaurant at age 22 - Toby's in Miami. He went onto open many other restaurants in California including Tra Vigne Restaurant, Coqueta, Ottimo and Bottega. He also owned the Chiarello Family Vineyards in Yountville, CA.
