Joe Mantello

Actor, writer and director Joe Mantello portrays Mickey Marcus in the HBO film adaption of Tony Award winning play The Normal Heart.

He earned a Tony as well for his portrayal of Ned Weeks in the production’s 2011 Broadway revival.

Mantello, who began his theatrical career as an actor in Keith Curran's Walking the Dead and Paula Vogel's The Baltimore Waltz, has directed several successful Broadway plays, including Wicked and Tony winners Take Me Out and Assassins.
