Don Mitchell was an actor best known for the role of Mark Sanger, the assistant of the wheelchair-bound title character played by Raymond Burr in the television series Ironside.

A native of Houston, Texas, Mitchell studied acting at UCLA before breaking into television with roles in series such as Mr. Novak, I Dream Of Jeannie, Bewitched and The Fugitive before being cast in Ironside. He went on to appear in many other programs, including McMillan and Wife, CHiPs and Police Woman. In 1993 he played Sanger again in the made-for-TV movie The Return of Ironside.
