Dick Van Dyke

Dick Van Dyke is an American actor, comedian, singer, dancer, writer, and producer.

Van Dyke’s entertainment career has spanned seven decades.

He is best known for his role as Rob Petrie on the CBS television sitcom The Dick Van Dyke Show.

He also gained significant popularity for roles in the musical films Bye Bye Birdie, Mary Poppins, and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

Other prominent TV roles include the leads in The New Dick Van Dyke Show and Diagnosis: Murder.

Van Dyke has been the recipient of five Primetime Emmys, a Tony, a Grammy, and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

As an a cappella enthusiast, he has sung in a group called "Dick Van Dyke and The Vantastix" since September 2000.

Dick Van Dyke was inducted into the Television Academy Hall of Fame in 1995.
