Bob DeMora

Bob DeMora was an American costume designer.

A native of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, DeMora got his start in the 1950s doing costume designing for his high school plays.

DeMora began his film career with 1976’s Marathon Man (with Dustin Hoffman), followed by Exorcist II: The Heretic, American Hot Wax, A Different Story, Winter Kills (with Jeff Bridges), Grease II (with Michelle Pfeiffer), A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon, and others.

He was perhaps best known as the costume designer for Bette Midler, working on all of her major concert tours, television productions, and films. He received two Primetime Emmy Award nominations for outstanding art direction and costume design for a variety or music program for Diva Las Vegas, a 1997 concert documentary starring Midler.

DeMora died September 21, 2020, in Jeffersonville, New York. He was 85.
