Billy Porter wins his first Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama for the series, Pose. Porter also became the first openly gay black man to be nominated for an Emmy and win in a lead acting category.

Creative Director Karin Fong accepted the Emmy for Outstanding Main Title Design on behalf of the team from Counterpart. This was the seventh nomination and second win for Fong.
