Why did you want to be a Television Academy governor? I wanted to help our peer group stay relevant within the Academy, and to interact with the other Peer Groups to advance the mission of the Television Academy
What do you hope to accomplish as a governor? To keep our membership informed about the academy’s goals, and resources, and to engage our members to participate in events and educational outreach.
Why is the Academy important to the industry? The Television Academy is an organization that was founded on honoring excellence.
The Emmy is awarded to individual and program achievement, has yearly Honors Awards, educational opportunities, outreach in diversity, a treasure trove of archival interviews, and many other events.
The Academy also champions the next generation of members through the College Awards, and The Foundation. It is truly the bedrock of our industry.
