Ricky Gervais, January Jones, John Krasinski, Julianna Margulies, Matthew Morrison and Sofia Vergara to Present at 62nd Primetime Emmys

The 62nd Primetime Emmys will be broadcast live coast-to-coast from Los Angeles on Sunday, August 29 (5:00pm PT / 8pm ET), on NBC.

Primetime Emmy® Award nominees January Jones, Julianna Margulies, Matthew Morrison and Sofia Vergara, along with Ricky Gervais and John Krasinski, are the first group of presenters announced for the 62nd Primetime Emmy Awards. The telecast will be broadcast live coast-to-coast from the NOKIA Theatre L.A. LIVE in Los Angeles on Sunday, August 29 (5:00pm PT / 8pm ET), on the NBC Television Network.

RICKY GERVAIS is the creator/executive producer of The Office and HBO/BBC’s EXTRAS. He is the winner of two Primetime Emmys, three Golden Globes and seven BAFTAS. He is also the only guest star of The Simpsons to also write an episode and holds the Guinness Book of Records for having the most downloaded internet show of all time. A 13-part animated series based on his record-breaking podcasts, debuted on HBO in January 2010 and has been nominated for an Emmy. In 2010, Gervais was named one of Time magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in the World and was awarded the Sir Peter Ustinov Comedy Award from the Banff World Television Festival. Also in 2010, Gervais became the first to host the Golden Globes in15 years and will return as host in 2011.

JANUARY JONES stars as Betty Draper on the Emmy, Golden Globe and SAG Award- winning AMC series Mad Men. She recently earned her first Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series and her work on Mad Men also garnered her a 2009 and 2010 Golden Globe nomination for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series – Drama. In 2011 January will be seen starring in two films — first in Unknown White Male for Warner Bros., opposite Liam Neeson, and then in The Hungry Rabbit Jumps, opposite Nicolas Cage.

JOHN KRASINSKI is perhaps best known for his portrayal of Jim Halpert on NBC's hit comedy The Office, which returns for its seventh season on September 23rd. He recently completed production on "Something Borrowed," in which he stars opposite Ginnifer Goodwin and Kate Hudson and is set to begin production on Everybody Loves Whales, opposite Drew Barrymore. Most recently Krasinski was seen starring alongside Meryl Streep, Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin in Nancy Meyers' "It's Complicated" and he starred opposite Maya Rudolph in the comedy Away We Go, directed by Sam Mendes. Also a gifted writer, Krasinski adapted the David Foster Wallace book Brief Interviews with Hideous Men and directed his adaptation in an independently financed feature. The film was released by IFC in 2009.

JULIANNA MARGULIES is an Emmy, Golden Globe, and Screen Actors Guild award winner, who has achieved success in television, theatre, and film. Margulies can currently be seen in the CBS hit The Good Wife, in a role which has recently garnered her a Golden Globe and a Screen Actors Guild Award. In film, Margulies was last seen in City Island, co-starring Andy Garcia, Alan Arkin, and Emily Mortimer. The film won the Audience Award at the 2009 Tribeca Film Festival. She was one of the original members of the groundbreaking show ER, for which she received both an Emmy Award and SAG Award as nurse Carol Hathaway. Margulies made her Broadway debut in 2006 starring in Festen and she completed a successful run in Jon Robin Baitz's Ten Unknowns at Lincoln Center opposite Donald Sutherland, for which she won the Lucille Lortel Award.

MATTHEW MORRISON is a triple-threat who recently garnered Emmy and Golden Globe award nominations for his role as Will Schuester, an optimistic high school teacher who tries to refuel his own passion while reinventing the high school’s glee club on the breakout Fox series Glee. Morrison’s big break came when he was cast as heartthrob Link Larkin in the Broadway hit Hairspray. He subsequently received a Tony Award nomination for his role in The Light in the Piazza and a Drama Desk Award nomination for 10 Million Miles. Most recently, Morrison starred in the Tony-winning revival of South Pacific at Lincoln Center Theater in New York. His film credits include Dan in Real Life, I Think I Love My Wife and Music and Lyrics. Morrison is currently in the studio working on his debut solo album for Mercury Records.

SOFIA VERGARA is the only Hispanic actress who started her career in a U.S. Hispanic Network and successfully crossed over to the general market. She has conquered the world of television with an Emmy nomination for her work on ABC’s Modern Family as well as made a mark in the world of film in the upcoming movies The Smurfs and Happy Feet 2. With a list of credits most actors only dream of, Sofia is sure to be a lasting success in Hollywood.
