Dana Delany to Host Third Television Academy Honors in Beverly Hills

Ceremony set for May 5, 2010 in Beverly Hills celebrates eight programs, including Glee and CSI, that exemplify "Television with a Conscience." The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences will celebrate the power of television - and specifically, eight programs that have had significant impact on the viewing audience and the ability to spark positive social change - with the Third Television Academy Honors gala, happening Wednesday, May 5, 2010, at the Beverly Hills Hotel (Media Check-in: 5:30pm; dinner: 7:00pm, program: 8:00pm). The honored programs include CSI: “Coup De Grace,” Glee: “Wheels,” Grandpa, Do You Know Who I Am? with Maria Shriver, Inside Death Row, Vanguard: “The Oxycontin Express,” Private Practice: “Nothing to Fear,” Taking Chance and Unlocking Autism. The productions address vital issues ranging from capital punishment to racism, prescription drug abuse and trafficking, autism, the military escort for fallen service members, physician-assisted suicide and important disability issues. Actress Dana Delany, star of ABC’s Desperate Housewives, will host the evening. Presenters and honorees include: George Eads, Hector Elizondo, Mike Farrell, Al Gore, Joel Grey, John Hoffman, Arianna Huffington, Brad Kevoy, Monica Lange, Mark Mannucci, Carol Mendelsohn, Ryan Murphy, Shonda Rhimes, Maria Shriver, Lt.
