Corinne Camacho, Veteran Television Actress, Dies

Her credits included The Rockford Files, THe Bionic Woman, The Days of Our Lives and many other series.

Corinne Camacho, an actress who appeared in such television series as The Bionic Woman, The Rockford Files and Medical Center, died September 15, 2010, in Beaverton, Oregon. She was 68.

According to news reports, the cause was cancer.

Born Gloria Angelina Katharina Alletto in New Jerey, she moved with her parents to Los Angeles at age 5. She started out as a model and then switched to acting in 1967 when she was cast in an episode of The Wild Wild West as the date of Artemus Gordon, played by Ross Martin.

She went on to play small parts on Bewitched, I Dream of Jeannie and The Flying Nun. Later she had recurring roles in such series as Mannix and Medical Center.

Other television credits included M*A*S*H, Little House on the Prairie and The Waltons, as well as a year-long stint on the daytime drama The Days of Our Lives.

She was often credited as Corinne Michaels, the name she went by when she had a recurring role on The Rockford Files from 1974-79.

In 1996, Camacho moved to New Mexico to build and run a hospice center. She moved to Oregon in 2001, and became a life coach and recorded children’s music. In 2006, she released an album titled Love Notes & Lullabies that she self-distributed.

Survivors include by a son, daughter and two grandchildren.
