Me and My Emmy: Sharon Davis

A background in architecture led Davis to a career in art direction and set design.

Emmy Tally: One

How She Got the Gold: For outstanding production design for a narrative program (half-hour) in 2021, as supervising art director for WandaVision.

Now for the Noms: Davis was also nominated for her work as art director on Veep in 2014.

Along for the Ride: "My Emmy has been traveling with me via automobile. We drove across the country together when I finished a show last year. I enjoy sharing her with everyone, especially when returning to work at Marvel with crew members from WandaVision. Many of them took photos with the Emmy and some even made acceptance speeches, which created a lot of fun memories!"

Artistic Instincts: "From a young age, I decided I would someday work in architecture and see my drawings come to life. Architectural and mechanical drafting were my jobs until I saw the blueprint and replica set from All in the Family on display at the Smithsonian. Within months I packed up and drove to Los Angeles with my two cats to search for work as a set designer and a new adventure."

Career High: "WandaVision was the most complicated and exciting show I have worked on to date. The show was a story about life and grief, and I believe it touched everyone who worked on it. Our art department and entire crew consisted of incredibly talented individuals who worked tirelessly. I am extremely proud of the show, our cast and crew and the visual impact of the story on screen."
