Me and My Emmy: Henry Winkler

The iconic actor shares what makes Barry special.

Emmy Tally: One

How He Got the Gold: As outstanding supporting actor in a comedy series in 2018, for his role as Gene Cousineau in HBO's Barry.

Now for the Noms: Winkler has been nominated eight times, including three nods as outstanding lead actor in a comedy series for the 1970s classic Happy Days.

An Honor to Be Nominated: "My nominations were enough of an honor. Until my name wasn't called, at which time my dreams kicked into high gear."

Beat the Buzzer: "One of my memories of attending the Emmys was the night I won. It was emotional, heart-pounding, fun and exhilarating. By the time I got to the stage and turned around and faced the audience, I had spent so much time celebrating, there were only nineteen seconds left to give my entire speech."

Joined at the Hip: "I keep my Emmy statuette by my side at every moment. I take it with me as I go from room to room."

Barry Benefits: "What's special about working on Barry? Every script. Every fellow member of the ensemble. Every moment on the set."
