Celebrating eight years of Grey's Anatomy, hit spinoff Private Practice and highly anticipated D.C.-based series Scandal, starring film-now-television star Kerry Washington, stars of these shows gathered at the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences in North Hollywood, California to tape a special live webcast tribute to ShondaLand — the production company founded by prolific writer, show creator and executive producer Shonda Rhimes. The Chicago-born University of Southern California grad and her famous friends stopped to chat on their way inside.
See what Grey's Anatomy stars Ellen Pompeo and Sandra Oh said about ShondaLand's influence on casting in Hollywood; Scandal co-stars Tony Goldwyn and Katie Lowes on what series star Washington is like on- and off-screen; whether or not Washington plans to be as active during this U.S presidential election cycle as she was in 2008; a rare conversation with both Rhimes and ShondaLand executive producer Betsy Beers together about their magical partnership and much, much more.
