Emmy magazine, the official magazine of the Television Academy, took home four Maggie Awards at the Western Publishing Association's (WPA) 63rd Annual Maggie Awards at the May 2 event held at the Sheraton Gateway Los Angeles Hotel. Overall, emmy received 12 nominations.

The Maggie Awards honor excellence in print and electronic magazine published west of the Mississippi or distributed only west of the Mississippi.

Emmy received its Maggies in the following categories:

  • BEST REGULARLY FEATURED DEPARTMENT, SECTION OR COLUMN/TRADE
The back-page feature "Me and My Emmy," images of Emmy winners with the statuettes, photographed by Corey Nickols (August & December 2013)

  • BEST SERIES OF EDITORIAL PHOTOGRAPHS/TRADE

"We are thrilled to have been recognized again by the WPA," said Juan Morales, emmy's editor-in-chief. "We could not have won these awards without the support of the Television Academy and the talent and passion of our staff — especially editor Gail Polevoi, contributing editor Kathleen O'Steen, art director Richard Bleiwess and photography editor Rose Cefalu, along with publications administrator Rose Madonna. They are an amazing team."

Emmy won its first Maggie in 2002, and has now collected 38.
