Bud Freidgen, Editor, Producer and More

In addition to his television work, Friedgen edited all three That's Entertainment! movies.

Lloyd "Bud" Friedgen. a Primetime Emmy-nominated picture editor, producer, director and writer known for his documentary work, died June 24, 2012, in Woodland Hills, California. He was 75.

According to news reports, the cause was cancer.

Known for his work on documentary productions, Friedgen edited all three That's Entertainment! films, which compiled highlights from classic MGM musicals.

he also worked widely in television, compiling such credits as Men in Crisis, The Undersea World of Jacques Cousteau, Untamed Frontier, National Geographic Specials, Hollywood: The Dream Factory, The New Mike Hammer, Beauty and the Beast and Switching Goals.

Friedgen received his Emmy nomination for the 1983 miniseries The Blue and the Gray.
