About The Event

A cultural discussion drawing parallels between television, music and the hip-hop culture.

Join us for an intimate conversation with celebrated television writer-producer-activist Norman Lear, whose influence has extended beyond television to pave the way for the acceptance and popularity of urban contemporary music.

Producer of such groundbreaking sitcoms as All in the Family, Sanford and Son, One Day at a Time, The Jeffersons, Good Times, and Maude, Lear was inducted into the Television Academy's Hall of Fame in 1984.  He has received four Emmy Awards, 14 Emmy nominations, a Peabody, the National Medal of Arts, the Humanist Arts Award and Women in Film's Lucy Award.

An Evening with Norman Lear is not to be missed!
