Everytown For Gun Safety: Responsible Gun Portrayals on TV
Accurate portrayals of gun violence and preventive gun safety measures have the power to change hearts, minds and behaviors, ultimately saving thousands of lives. We are pleased to invite you to a thought-provoking virtual conversation led by the nation's largest gun violence prevention organization, Everytown for Gun Safety. As we’ve seen over the past several months, conditions created by COVID-19 have in many cases exacerbated the gun violence that plagues our country. We’ve witnessed how gun violence, including police violence, reflects and intensifies America’s long-standing systemic racial inequities. In this conversation, we will address the role and responsibility the creative community holds in shifting the current cultural narratives on gun violence in America, and provide the resources to take action.
