Will King was a journalist and executive best known for his work with CNN, which he helped to launch.

King's CNN career spanned nearly 35 years, during which he also helped to launch CNN2, which later became HLN. In additon, he helped to expand CNN in Europe, which spawned CNN International.

His tenure included such major news events as the fall of the Soviet Union, Tiananmen Square, the conflict in Bosnia and the first Persian Gulf War.

In addition to his contribution to CNN's programming, he helped to create and oversee important internal procedures, including the Field Safety program, which trained employees who were assigned to work in the field internationally.
