Tucker Wiard, ACE was an American television editor.

Wiard was a radio/television major at Michigan State University. After college, he joined the Army and became a member of Pershing Rifles, where he was elevated to first lieutenant. While serving at Ft. Benning, Georgia, he designed and built the Studio and Remote videotape department.

Wiard was a radio/television major at Michigan State University. After college, he joined the Army and became a member of Pershing Rifles, where he was elevated to first lieutenant. While serving at Ft. Benning, Georgia, he designed and built the Studio and Remote videotape department.

In 1968, he moved to Los Angeles to work in the videotape department at CBS. That eventually led to his becoming a picture editor. During his career, he was nominated for 11 Primetime Emmy Awards and won five for: The Carol Burnett Show (final episode) (CBS); The Scarlet Letter (WGBH); American Bandstand 30th Anniversary Special (ABC); Murphy Brown pilot episode: "Respect" (CBS); and Murphy Brown episode: "On Another Plane" (CBS).

In 1992, he received an invitation to join the American Cinema Editors and he received an Eddy Award nomination for Murphy Brown.

He worked on multiple projects until his retirement in 2009.

Upon hearing of Wiard's passing, actress Candice Bergen issued this statement: "It took an ensemble of very talented people to make (Murphy Brown) the success that it was. No one shone more brightly than Tucker. He made us look great every week for 10 years."

Wiard died August 28, 2022, in Los Angeles, California. He was 80.
