Toni Vaz was a stuntwoman who doubled actors in television shows and films for decades and appeared in productions as an extra and actress. She doubled Cicely Tyson in the popular series, Mission: Impossible. She appeared in over 50 films, some include "Tarzan, the Ape Man," "Lady Sings the Blues" "The Towering Inferno" and "The Singing Nun."

Vaz later became an activist and founder of the NAACP Image Awards, which highlights outstanding performances in the entertainement business.
