Sam Rubin
Sam Rubin was an American producer, actor and news anchor. He was best known for serving as the entertainment reporter for KTLA Morning News for more than 30 years. Rubin executive produced 66 episodes of Hollywood Uncensored with Sam Rubin and TV specials; Critics Choice 3rd Annual Celebration of Black Cinema and Critics Choice 4th Annual Celebration of Black Cinema & Television. He can be seen making guest appearances on television series including Gigantic, Movie Stars, Charmed, Melrose Place and My Name Is Earl.

A founding member of the Broadcast Film Critics Association, the Occidental College graduate garnered numerous professional accolades, including multiple Los Angeles Area Emmy Awards, a Golden Mike, a Los Angeles Press Club Award for best entertainment reporter and a lifetime achievement honor from the Southern California Broadcasters Association.
Upon his passing, Stephanie Hampton, a governor of the Academy's Los Angeles Area Peer Group, said, "Sam Rubin was a guiding light offering viewers a window into the heart of Hollywood. Today we mourn the loss of an esteemed entertainment icon from KTLA, whose charisma, professionalism and unwavering dedication left an indelible mark on our industry, and who will surely be remembered and cherished by many."
