Ronnie Claire Edwards was an actress best known for her role on the long-running family drama The Waltons. The CBS series ran from 1971 to 1981, with Edwards joining the cast in 1975, for more than 100 episodes. She played Corabeth Walton Godsey, the bossy wife of Ike, a local shopkeeper.

Edwards also appeared on the series Paper Moon, starring Jodie Foster; Boone, on which Edwards played series regular Aunt Dolly; Dallas; Falcon Crest; Sara, as regular Helen Newcomb; Dynasty; Murder, She Wrote; Designing Women; and Star Trek: The Next Generation.

She also had roles in the Waltons television movies A Wedding on Walton’s Mountain; Mother’s Day on Walton’s Mountain, A Day for Thanks on Walton’s Mountain, A Walton Thanksgiving Reunion, A Walton Wedding, and A Walton Easter. As well as the telefilms Sweet Bird of Youth, starring Elizabeth Taylor and Inherit the Wind, with Jack Lemmon and George C. Scott.

She got her start as a performer after she turned 30, making her onscreen debut in the 1963 film All the Way Home. She also wrote two memoirs, The Knife Thrower's Assistant and Mr. Godsey Asked Me to Marry Him and I Said: "Yes!": (Exit Sobbing).

Edwards died June 14, 2016, in Dallas, Texas. She was 83.
