Mitch Ackerman was an American television producer and production executive.

Ackerman was director of production at Lorimar Productions from 1978 to 1985, overseeing such hit shows as Dallas, The Waltons, and Eight is Enough.

He later served as executive vice president of television production at Walt Disney Television from 1985 to 2000, producing, among other shows, Home Improvement, and Boy Meets World.

Ackerman also worked independently, and supervised production on over 50 television series and more than 100 made-for-television movies.
