Martha Bolton

Martha Bolton received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Achievement in Music and Lyrics at the 1987-1988 Primetime Emmy Awards for co-writing the musical number, "A Man Is Innocent", for the television special NBC Investigates Bob Hope, which aired on September 17, 1987. Martha was also recognized for contributing to the Emmy Award-winning production, Bob Hope - The First Ninety Years (1992-1993 Primetime Emmys).

Other awards include Writers Guild of America Award nomination for Outstanding Script of 1993 in the Variety - Musical, Awards, Tribute, Special Event category for Bob Hope - The First Ninety Years, and a Dove Award nomination for A Lamb's Tale, in the Youth/Children's Musical of the Year for 1999.

Martha Bolton is also the author of 88 books, and wrote the script for three musicals currently in production in Indiana, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Illinois. The latest, Josiah for President, is based on her novel of the same name.
