Lisa de Cazotte

Lisa de Cazotte was an Emmy award-winning producer of daytime drama.

Born Lisa Smith in Westchester, NY on November 2, 1961, she was the youngest child and only daughter of Charles Smith and Beatrice Smith. She was raised in Dobbs Ferry, NY and graduated from Fordham University, where she was Phi Beta Kappa, in 1983.

With a passion for television instilled in her from a young age by her father who was an executive at ABC Television, de Cazotte always knew that she wanted to produce soap operas. She began her illustrious career straight out of college as an Intern on ABC's One Life to Live where she quickly moved up the ranks to Associate, then Coordinating Producer. She went on to work as Producer then Supervising Producer on NBC's Santa Barbara and then ABC's All My Children before returning to NBC where she was named Supervising Producer of Aaron Spelling's Sunset Beach.

In 1999, de Cazotte partnered with James E. Reilly and was named Executive Producer of NBC Studio's Passions, the critically-acclaimed pop-culture phenomenon that centered around four core families, the town witch and a doll that came to life in the fictional town of Harmony. She served as EP for the run of show until 2008. She went on to executive produce General Hospital: Night Shift before returning to All My Children. In 2012, de Cazotte was named Co-Executive Producer of Days of Our Lives where she won two Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Drama Series. In 2017 she became Supervising Producer of the Young and the Restless, where she won her third Emmy. de Cazotte was still producing the Sony/CBS show at the time of her passing.

In 2002, de Cazotte married French filmmaker and Oscar winner Antoine de Cazotte. They split their time between Los Angeles, CA, New York, NY and Paris, France.
