Lee Breuer

Lee Breuer was an American actor, director, composer, filmmaker, and playwright.

A co-founder of New York's groundbreaking experimental theater company Mabou Mines, he is perhaps best known for writing Broadway's The Gospel at Colonus (1985). The televised version earned an Emmy.

For more than 40 years, Breuer directed over a dozen plays, including A Prelude to Death in Venice, Peter and Wendy, Mabou Mines Lear, and Mabou Mines Dollhouse.

As an actor, Breuer had a recurring role in the television series The Equalizer and guest starred in As the World Turns.
