Kip Addotta was an American comedian and actor.

For four decades, Addotta performed his standup comedy act on dozens of variety and talk shows, including The Midnight Special, Don Kirshner’s Rock Concert, American Bandstand, Make Me Laugh, The Mike Douglas Show, Dinah!, and The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson, where he made over 20 appearances. Addotta also hosted the game show Everything Goes on the Playboy Channel.

In addition, Addotta was featured on the nationally syndicated comedy radio program The Dr. Demento Show performing his songs Wet Dream and Life in the Slaw Lane, which number among the show’s historically most requested songs.

Addotta also appeared as an actor in the films Bound for Glory (1976) and For da Love of Money (2002) as well as TV’s The Larry Sanders Show (1992).

Addotta died August 13, 2019, in Los Angeles, California. He was 75.
