Joseph Rago

Joseph Rago was a journalist best known for his Pulitzer Prize-winning work at The Wall Street Journal

He won the Pulitzer in 2011 for a series of editorials challenging the health care reform advocated by President Barack Obama.

Rago graduated from Dartmouth College and started at the Journal as an intern in 2005. He was hired soon thereafter and rose from an assistant editor on the op-ed page to editorial writer to a member of the editorial board.

Rago also appeared frequently as a panelist on the television series The Journal Editorial Report, a weekly program that featured news commentary and features from the editors of The Wall Street Journal.

Rago died July 20, 2017, in New York City. He was 34.
