John O'Connor

John O'Connor was an American visual effects editor.

He attended the New York Institute of Technology before moving into film and video production.

O'Connor was the chief technology officer for the media technology company, CMI Media Management, where he oversaw art infrastructure operations.

His professional achievements include an Emmy Award for outstanding visual effects (shared with Oscar-winning director Zbigniew Rybczynski) for the 1990 PBS program The Orchestra, a suite of classical music videos.

O'Connor died April 26, 2020, in Yorktown Heights, New York. He was 61.
