John E. Gallagher

John E. Gallagher was an American director.

Gallagher began his career in the mid-1980s as a production assistant, working on such films as Born on the Fourth of July (with Tom Cruise), Cadillac Man (with Robin Williams), and State of Grace (with Sean Penn).

He made the transition to assistant director in the early 1990s, with film credits including The Hard Way (with Michael J. Fox), Mr. Saturday Night (with Billy Crystal), Passenger 57 (with Wesley Snipes), The Specialist (with Sylvester Stallone), Evita (with Madonna), and Made (with Vince Vaughn).
