Joel Fajnor

Joel Fajnor joined DreamWorks Animation Television Studios in 2013 where he serves as Art Director.

Before arriving at DreamWorks, Mr. Fajnor worked at Nickelodeon Animation Studios and served as Design Supervisor on Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness, for which he was awarded two Emmys for Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation Art Direction. He was involved in creative roles on numerous productions including T.U.F.F. Puppy, The Fairly Odd Parents, The Mighty B, Danny Phantom, and Charlotte's Web II.

Prior to joining Nickelodeon, Mr. Fajnor designed and developed main characters, props, and key backgrounds for Filmworks/FX, Inc., RichCrest Animation Studios, Calico World Entertainment, Kickstart Productions, and Mike Young Productions.

Mr. Fajnor has a very unique cross-functional background, having designed, directed, and produced graphics animation in various styles – from traditional 2D, motion graphics, CD-ROM, and more – for numerous independent clients and across many platforms. His portfolio includes work for many entertainment industry giants, including HBO/Curious Pictures, 20th Century Fox/Saban Entertainment, Disney Interactive, Virgin Sound and Vision, ABC, NBC, and CBS.

His award-winning talent has been recognized across the industry at the International Film and Television Festival of New York, the Chicago International Film Festival, the Broadcast Design Association, and the Telly Awards.

A gifted fine artist, Mr. Fajnor's artwork was featured as set decoration in the film Inception and the television series The Closer.

Mr. Fajnor is a member of the Television Academy and The International Animated Film Society (ASIFA). He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts with Honors from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California.
