Joel Bender was an American director, writer, and editor.
He is best known as a documentary filmmaker and for editing the reality television adventure series The Amazing Race.
A student of the School of the Visual Arts in New York, Bender was involved in all aspects of storytelling: writing, directing, and editing the film Karla (2006) and writing and directing Gas Pump Girls (1979).
