Jo-Carroll Dennison was an American actress and model .

Dennison served as Miss America in 1942, and was one of the first Miss America contestants to object to wearing a swimsuit during her reign. At the time of her death, she was the oldest surviving Miss America.

Dennison appeared on television in Lux Video Theater, in a Dick Tracy series and on an episode of The Abbott and Costello Show.

Dennison died October 18, 2021 in Idyllwild, California. She was 97.
