Jimmy Nelson

Jimmy Nelson was an American stage and television ventriloquist.

He, along with his wooden partners, Danny O'Day and Farfel the dog, is best known for his work as a television commercial spokesman. They were regularly seen between acts on numerous variety shows during the 1950s and 1960s.

Nelson also appeared on Ed Sullivan's 'Toast of the Town',  The Arthur Murray Party, Your Show of Shows, The Jackie Gleason Show, The Mike Douglas Show, and The Merv Griffin Show.

His ventriloquist instructional album, Instant Ventriloquism (1964), inspired many practitioners of the art form.

Nelson died September 24th 2019, in, Cape Coral, Florida. He was 90.
