James Schmerer
James Schmerer was an American television producer and screenwriter.
A graduate of New York University with a degree in motion picture production, Schmerer was best known for his work on popular action, western, and crime television programs during the seventies and eighties.
He produced such shows as Chase, The Delphi Bureau, and The High Chaparral. As associate producer he helmed the series Daniel Boone, and the feature film The Silencers (with Dean Martin).

Schmerer died October 4, 2019, in Eugene, Oregon. He was 81.
