James D. Brubaker

James D. Brubaker was an American film producer and production manager who produced The Right Stuff (1983) and Rocky IV (1985). 

He produced or co-produced three movies starring Murphy (The Nutty Professor, 1996; Life, 1999; and The Klumps, 2000). His two films with Carrey were Liar Liar in 1997 and Bruce Almighty in 2003. Other producing credits include A Walk in the Clouds, Dragonfly, and Gia. 

Brubaker was President of Physical Production at Universal Studios from 2003 to 2008, during which time he supervised over 50 films in 14 countries. His final feature film was 2014's Chef, written, directed by John Favreau.
