Honor Blackman

Honor Blackman was an English actress.

With a career that began as an understudy in London’s West End, Blackman is perhaps best known for her role as Pussy Galore, opposite Sean Connery’s James Bond, in the film Goldfinger (1964).

Blackman consistently found great success on the big screen appearing in films such as Fame is the Spur (1947), A Night to Remember (1958), Jason and the Argonauts (1963), The Secret of My Success (1965), The Cat and the Canary (1978), Tale of the Mummy (1998), Bridget Jones’s Dairy (2001), and I, Anna (2012).

She also had recurring roles in the British series The Avengers and The Upper Hand and guest starred on television shows such as You, Me & Them, Hotel Babylon, Doctors, Doctor Who, Never the Twain, Columbo, ITV Playhouse, Danger Man, The Saint, The Third Man, and The Three Musketeers.

Blackman died April 5, 2020 in Lewes, East Sussex, England. She was 94.
