Hal Willner was an American music producer in film and television.

Willner was best known for assembling tribute albums and live events featuring a wide variety of artists and musical styles, including sketch music adaptions nearly 500 episodes of Saturday Night Live.

His other television contributions include Tower of Song: A Memorial Tribute to Leonard Cohan, The Dinner, Norman, Goodnight, Sweet Prince, Don’t Blink, The Spoils Before Dying, Saturday Night Live: 40th Anniversary Special, Lawless, Howl, Chelsea on the Rocks, Berlin, Dark Matter, Toonces, The Cat Who Could Drive a Car.

Willner also produced music for the films The Master (2012), Step Brothers (2008), Talladega Nights (2006), Gangs of New York (2002), Finding Forrester (2000), The Million Dollar Hotel (2000), Short Cuts (1993), and Fried Green Tomatoes (1991).

Willner died April 7, 2020, in Manhattan, New York. He was 64.
