Glen Campbell was an American rock and country music singer, musician, songwriter, television host and actor. He is best known for a series of hits in the 1960s and 1970s, including "Gentle on My Mind," "Rhinestone Cowboy," "Wichita Lineman" and By the Time I Get to Phoenix."

Campbell also hosted his own music and comedy variety show, The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour, which aired on CBS from January 1969 through June 1972.

Additionally, he had roles on the series The F.B.I. and Players, as well as the films True Grit, Norwood and Any Which Way You Can.

He also appeared or performed on American Bandstand and Hee Haw, as well as series hosted by Dick Cavett, the Smothers Brothers, Merv Griffin, Johnny Cash, Bob Hope, Carol Burnett, Johnny Carson, Mike Douglas, Jay Leno, Conan O’Brien and Larry King.
