Charles Siebert was an American actor and director.

Accomplished on stage and screen, Siebert is probably best remembered for his role as Dr. Riverside on every episode of Trapper John, M.D.

He also appeared as Helen Keller's father in the 1979 telefilm The Miracle Worker.

Siebert became a television director and helmed episodes of such shows as Knots Landing, Pacific Blue, Silk Stalkings, Pensacola: Wings of Gold, Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, and Xena: Warrior Princess.

Early in his career, while working in New York theater, he made ends meet with roles on such daytime soap operas as Search for Tomorrow, As the World Turns, and Another World.

Siebert appeared with Hayley Mills as her husband on the NBC pilot Good Morning, Miss Bliss. The show eventually became Saved by the Bell, and his role was discarded.

Siebert recurred as the boss of Bonnie Franklin's character on CBS' One Day at a Time from 1977-79 and starred on the short-lived Joan Rivers-created comedy Husbands, Wives & Lovers, also for CBS, in 1979.

He guest starred three times on All in the Family and appeared on other shows including N.Y.P.D., Kojak, Police Woman, The Rockford Files, The Incredible Hulk, Maude, Mancuso, FBI, and Murder, She Wrote.

Siebert died May 1, 2022 in San Francisco, California. He was 84.
