Barbara Dodd Remsen was an American actress and casting director.

After graduating from Rutgers University, Remsen moved to Los Angeles. Her first credited appearance in a major television series was in a 1957 episode of Gunsmoke.

Remsen remained active as a character actress in television well into the late 1970s, appearing in episodes of Leave It to Beaver, The Dick Van Dyke Show, The Fugitive, The F.B.I., Then Came Bronson, Bewitched, Medical Center, Adam-12, Mod Squad, and S.W.A.T.

Her late husband, actor Bert Remsen, began working as a casting director for Aaron Spelling at 20th Century Fox, after suffering severe back and leg injuries when he was struck by a crane while on the set of the 1964-65 ABC comedy No Time for Sergeants. Barbara Remsen joined her husband at 20th, and later, along with actor Dick Dinman, formed Remdin Casting, where she cast, among others, future stars Tom Selleck, Tea Leoni, Kevin Costner, Pierce Brosnan, Vince Vaughn, and Billy Bob Thornton.

Remsen worked steadily as a casting director for over twenty-five years, most notably on the daytime drama series One Life to Live, the ABC Afterschool Specials series, and The Brady Bunch spinoffs The Brady Girls Get Married and The Brady Brides.

Remsen received three Artios Awards for Excellence in Casting from the Casting Society of America.

She returned to acting in the late 1990s, and appeared in episodes of The Pretender, According to Jim, and Modern Family, as well as Employee of the Month, a 2006 feature film starring comedian Dane Cook. Her final television appearance was in an episode of Studio City Kings in 2017.

Remsen died March 8, 2018, in Los Angeles, California. She was 88.
