Arnold Palmer was a world-renowned professional golfer and the first television superstar of his sport.

During his career, he won seven major tournaments, played in the Masters for 50 straight years, co-founded the Golf Channel and was the first client of the agency IMG.

Palmer appeared on the television series and specials Greatest Sports Legends, Golf: The Greatest Game, Golf Talk and ESPN SportsCentury, among many others.

Additionally, he appeared on many talk, variety and game shows, including What’s My Line?, The Bob Hope Show, Perry Como’s Kraft Music Hall, That Regis Philbin Show, The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson, The Mike Douglas Show, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Charlie Rose.

Palmer died September 25, 2016, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He was 87.
