Al Caiola

Al Caiola was a musician best known for his work as a guitarist on the theme songs for Bonanza and The Magnificent Seven.

He worked with Frank Sinatra, Barbra Streisand, Elvis Presley, Simon & Garfunkel, Tony Bennett, Buddy Holly, Sarah Vaughan, Rosemary Clooney, Petula Clark, Glen Campbell, Paul Anka, Neil Sedaka, Bobby Darin, Frankie Avalon, Eddie Fisher and Perry Como.

After serving in the U.S. Marines, Caiola landed a job with the CBS orchestra, where he stayed for 10 years and worked on shows hosted by Ed Sullivan, Jackie Gleason, Arthur Godfrey and Steve Allen.

Caiola died November 9, 2016, in Allendale, New Jersey. He was 96.
